RV AC Soft Start

A rooftop AC compressor pulls 50 to 60 A for a fraction of a second at start, which is what trips a small generator. A soft start ramps the compressor up instead, cutting the inrush by as much as 70%, so a 13,500 or 15,000 BTU unit will start and run on a 2,200 W inverter generator. Install is four wires inside the unit, about 30 minutes. Pair it with any Coleman-Mach unit here or add it to a complete kit.
