Kate RV lists the unit, the correct ceiling assembly for a ducted or non-ducted RV, the matching control and the roof gasket as one product. All Coleman-Mach units fit the standard 14 x 14 in roof opening, so they replace a Dometic Brisk II, Dometic Penguin II, Furrion Chill or Advent/Atwood unit with no roof work. ## How to choose (the questions in order) 1. What is on the roof now (brand and series). Any 14 x 14 in unit is replaceable by a Coleman-Mach. 2. Ducted or non-ducted. Ceiling vents along the coach = ducted = ducted ceiling assembly (a ChillGrille has its control box built in) + wall thermostat, or a manual ducted assembly with knobs. Air blows from the unit itself = non-ducted = non-ducted ceiling assembly with the controls on it. 3. Cool only, heat ready (accepts a 5,600 BTU heat strip) or heat pump (reverse-cycle heat, best above about 40F, shuts off near freezing). The ceiling assembly must match. 4. Control: ceiling knob, 12V wall thermostat, Bluetooth, WiFi, or zone. Thermostats must match the control box or ceiling assembly. 5. BTU: 13,500 (single AC up to about 30 ft), 15,000 (larger rigs, ducted, hot climates), 18,000 (Mach-C 18 inverter unit, ducted or non-ducted, starts on a 2,200 W generator). Kate RV does not stock units under 13,500 BTU. 6. Profile height: standard about 14 in (Mach 3, Mach 15), low 11.8 in (Mach 10), ultra-low 8.25 in (Mach 8 Plus), 12.13 in (Mach-C 18). 7. Generator: plan on about 3,500 W to start a stock 13,500 or 15,000 BTU Mach 3 or Mach 15; with the 1497-3601 soft start they start and run on a 2,200 W inverter generator. Coleman publishes no start current for the Mach 8 Plus or the heat pumps, so Kate RV makes no generator claim for them. ## Collections - Complete AC Kits: https://katerv.com/collections/complete-kits - Complete Non-Ducted Kits: https://katerv.com/collections/complete-non-ducted-kits - Complete Ducted Kits: https://katerv.com/collections/complete-ducted-kits - Heat Pump Complete Kits: https://katerv.com/collections/heat-pump-complete-kits - Thermostat Upgrade Kits (WiFi stat, Bluetooth ceiling assemblies, knobs-to-wall-thermostat conversion kits): https://katerv.com/collections/thermostat-upgrade-kits - Start Capacitor and Repair Kits: https://katerv.com/collections/repair-kits - Rooftop AC Units: https://katerv.com/collections/rooftop-ac - By BTU: /collections/13500-btu-rv-air-conditioners, /collections/15000-btu-rv-air-conditioners, /collections/18000-btu-rv-air-conditioners - By series: /collections/coleman-mach-3, /collections/coleman-mach-15, /collections/coleman-mach-10, /collections/coleman-mach-8, /collections/coleman-mach-18 - Heat: /collections/cool-only-rv-air-conditioners, /collections/heat-ready-rv-air-conditioners, /collections/rv-heat-pump-air-conditioners - Profile: /collections/low-profile-rv-air-conditioners, /collections/standard-profile-rv-air-conditioners - Features: /collections/quiet-series, /collections/soft-start, /collections/condensate-pump - Replacing another brand: /collections/replaces-dometic-brisk-ii, /collections/replaces-dometic-penguin-ii, /collections/replaces-furrion-chill, /collections/replaces-advent-atwood - Ceiling Assemblies: /collections/ceiling-assemblies, /collections/ducted-ceiling-assemblies, /collections/non-ducted-ceiling-assemblies, /collections/bluetooth-ceiling-assemblies - Thermostats and Controls: /collections/thermostats-controls, /collections/wifi-thermostats, /collections/12v-wall-thermostats, /collections/zone-control, /collections/control-boxes - Parts: /collections/repair-parts, /collections/gaskets-bolts, /collections/heat-strips, /collections/install-parts, /collections/install-kits - Brand: /collections/coleman-mach ## Guides - Fit Guarantee: https://katerv.com/pages/fit-guarantee - Which Coleman-Mach (Mach 3 vs 15 vs 10 vs 8 vs 18): https://katerv.com/pages/which-coleman-mach - Ducted vs Non-Ducted: https://katerv.com/pages/ducted-vs-non-ducted - Will My Thermostat Work (control compatibility chart): https://katerv.com/pages/thermostat-compatibility - Heat Strip vs Heat Pump: https://katerv.com/pages/heat-strip-vs-heat-pump - Running an RV AC on a Generator (amp draw table): https://katerv.com/pages/rv-ac-generator-amp-draw - 13,500 vs 15,000 BTU: https://katerv.com/pages/13500-vs-15000-btu - Replacing a Dometic or Furrion with a Coleman-Mach: https://katerv.com/pages/replacing-dometic-or-furrion - Install Guide (the 2-hour rooftop swap): https://katerv.com/pages/rv-ac-install-guide - Shipping a 90 lb Air Conditioner: https://katerv.com/pages/shipping-a-rooftop-ac - About Kate RV: https://katerv.com/pages/about - All guides: https://katerv.com/pages/guides ## Policies - Shipping: free ground shipping on orders over $200 to the lower 48.
